第33回のGlobal Communication Gymは、ヨーロッパのドイツ語圏『DACH』についてお伝えします。

そもそも『DACH』はご存知でしょうか？

ドイツ（Deutschland：ドイツ語表記）、オーストリア（Austria：英語表記）、スイス（Confoederatio Helvetica：ラテン語表記）の頭文字をとって表されているのが『DACH』であり、ドイツ語話者圏を指しています。

ヨーロッパでは、ドイツ語の使用人数は１位のロシア語に次いで、２位であり、ドイツ以外でもオーストリア、スイス、ベルギー、ルクセンブルク、リヒテンシュタインで公用語として用いられています。また、フランスのアルザス地方、イタリアのチロル地方、チェコのベーメン地方でも話されており、広く親しまれています。

日本にとっても、ドイツから多くを学んできた歴史があり、医学、哲学、化学の用語にもドイツ語由来のものが多く存在しています。

「グローバル＝英語」と考えがちだと思いますが、世界には様々な言語があり、それぞれの文化があります。

そこで、スイス在住のWeb3スタートアップ 360XのHead of Investor Solutionsを務めるNadine Gisdon氏を講師にお招きし、『DACH』の文化や経済について教えていただきます。
